Will Tupac Come Back?

Well known performer, Tupac Shakur died on September 13, 1996. There are many conspiracy theories suggest that the famous rapper is going to “Come back like Jesus,” in either 2014 or 2016. It is now March of 2014, and Tupac remains nowhere to be found. The possibility of Tupac being alive and well has many Duxbury High School students anxiously waiting upon his arrival; but other students are not so sure.

Senior Bobby B. said, “Tupac is dead. He got shot in 1996. That being said, he is alive and well in my heart. Tupac was legit.” Many others agreed with Bandera, stating they wish they could believe Tupac is actually alive, but they just are not able to do so. Senior Sam B. said, “When I lived in California, I went to the same high school that Tupac went to. Unfortunately he dropped out after sophomore year to pursue his rap career.” Junior Jackie S. said, “He was very influential. But he is not coming back. I don’t know how someone could come back after getting shot. That just doesn’t make sense to me.”

On Wednesday March 5, a man dressed up as Tupac attended the Boston Celtics game at the TD Garden and the resemblance was uncanny. This appearance of the Tupac look-alike has altered Brandeis’ former position on the subject. “He is back. There are eyewitness accounts. Tupac is back. That’s all I can say,” said Brandeis. Junior Becky M. said, “If he did come back to life, that would be super awesome.”

Many DHS students still remain hopeful about the possibility of Tupac being alive and well. Junior Kaylee J. said, “I think Tupac is still alive. I think he has just been hidden. He is still alive.” Becky and Kaylee decided that Tupac Shakur is going to return to the United States on June 30, 2014. Sophomore James G. said, “Tupac Shakur is a God and I can’t wait til he comes back.” James also said, “I am so excited [for Tupac to come back] because I know he is not dead. He is just hiding from us.”

Years ago, juniors Brian Z. and Charlie J. made a bet that rode on whether Tupac is truly dead or not. Brian believes that Tupac never really died and still believes as much to this day, but he refused to comment on the status of the bet.
