DHS Drama Makes Final Preparations for This Weekend’s Performances

The highly anticipated Drama Department’s Spring Festival of Plays opens Friday, June 12 at 7 PM at the Black Box Theater. For seniors, The Spring Festival of Plays is the last chance to perform on the DHS stage.

Like the Fall Festival of Plays, Spring Fest presents three unique plays directed by teachers and their student directors. This year, Mr. Aukerman will be directing “Are we listening?” with student director Julia Murray, Darren MacFarland will be directing “The Bald Soprano” with student director Garret C., and Mr Miller will be directing “Epic Proportions” with student director Kristen Murray.

“Spring Fest is kind of like Fall Fest where there are multiple plays being put on,” said Sophomore Alicia J. “For Spring Fest though, different people from different grades work on the plays together so it’s really a fun experience.”
