Duxbury Robotics Club

The Robotics Club at Duxbury High School specializes in making robots. Every January, the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition sends out a challenge to Robotics Clubs around the country.

As Robotics advisor Mr. Files said, “ We have ten weeks to build a robot to complete that challenge.”

Sophomore Teddy S. who did Robotics last year said that the team did well. He said, “We didn’t do as well as the year before. We did get an award for creativity. We did good in the competition but we didn’t get enough points to move on.”

Robotics Club starts in mid-November where they will meet twice a week. “Starting in January we meet every day,” said Mr. Files.
