February Netflix Releases
By Hailey B.
Netflix is releasing more content starting February 1, 2017. TV shows and movies will be released throughout the month. The full list posted from Refinery29 is promising.
Classics like Babe (1995), Balto (1995), The Chronicles of Narnia (2005), Superbad (2007), Invincible (2006), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), The Longest Day (1962), The Blair Witch Project (1990), and Milk (2008) are making their first appearance on Netflix.
If your guilty pleasure is Twilight (2008), then congratulations. It is being released February 1.
New to Netflix is also the Santa Clarita Diet, a Netflix Original starring Drew Barrymore. It is classified as a comedy-horror, and depicts a housewife with cannibalistic tendencies. I don’t think I’ll be tuning in. As far as I’m concerned, cannibalism is not funny.
Everyone is excited for VeggieTales in the City: Season 1, which is available February 24 as a Netflix Original. And by everyone, I mean me.
Disney’s Finding Dory (2016) and American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson (2016) are the most prominent and exciting releases. They were recently released in 2016.
The Office (UK) fans can also look forward to David Brent: Life on the Road, a Netflix Original series on life after Wernham Hogg Paper Company.
There are some interesting options choices for those who have run out of TV shows to binge-watch. Remember the Ashley Madison scandal? There’s a documentary on it. Want to educate yourself on the transgender community? There’s another documentary on it. Art? Check. Sundance Film? Check. Stand up? Check. More Chef’s Table? Check.
This month of releases offer a variety of genres that will suit a wide audience.
