This week’s New York Times Bestseller list showcases TV and movie adaptations, new releases, and some of this year’s strongest books.
The New York Times releases the list early online before print publication. This week’s list appears in the March 19th edition of the New York Times.
The Shack by William P Young is the #1 Bestseller for Print and E-Book Fiction this week. The Shack was released on March 3rd as a film. A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron and Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly were also made into film adaptations.
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty is a current TV miniseries on HBO starring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley. It follows the dramatic and secretive lives of affluent families in Monterey, California.
The Zookeeper’s Wife by Diane Ackerman (#2 on Paperback Fiction) will be released as a major motion picture on March 31, 2017. The book takes place in Nazi Poland.
President George W. Bush released a highly anticipated book called, Portraits of Courage. It has portraits of military veterans painted by President Bush, who took up art after retiring from the Oval Office.
Other bestsellers on the list include Bill O’Reilly’s new book on WWII, Underground Railroad (30 week), and Alexander Hamilton (71 Weeks).
