Winter Sports Recap 2017-2018

Duxbury Boys Basketball: The Duxbury Basketball boys finished their season with a record of 3-19.


Duxbury Girls Basketball: The Duxbury Basketball girls finished their season with a regular season record of 14-7. They lost to Nauset in the second round of the MIAA Division 2 South Playoffs. Congrats on a great season


Cheerleading: The Cheerleading team had a great season finishing their season with a third place finish in the MSAA State Finals. This was the first state trophy won by the cheerleading team in school history.


Girls Ice Hockey: The girls dragon team finished with a regular season record of 16-3-2. They lost to Braintree 2-0 in the first round of the MIAA Division 1 Girls’ Ice Hockey Playoffs. Congrats on another great season.


Boys Ice Hockey: The boys ice hockey team finished their season with a regular season record of 10-7-5. They lost to Marshfield in the first round of the MIAA State Tournament. Great job from all players this season especially the seven seniors in their final season with the Dragons.


Girls Swimming: The Duxbury Girls Swim team won the Division 2 State Championship for the second year in a row. They won with a score of 323 blowing the competition out of the water with Weston, the second place team, having a score of 181. The Dragons had 5 first place finishes as well as record setting times for the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 meter breaststroke races. Congrats on another championship season.


Boys Swimming: The Duxbury Boys swim team had a good season finishing with a strong performance at the Division 2 State Championships placing 11th in the 200 medley relay, and having two swimmers place above 15th place in the 50 freestyle race.


Skiing: Duxbury had 4 skiers qualify for The MIAA State Finals. Congrats to the ski team especially the four skiers who qualified for states on a successful season. The girls skiing team placed fourth in the MIAA Alpine Ski Championships. Great effort from all the skiers this season especially the skiiers who competed in the State Championship.


Boys Track: The Dragons placed 4th in the MIAA Division 3 Championships, also scoring 5 points and placing 37th in a multiple team tie in The MIAA All State Championship. A great showing from Duxbury track this season especially for the record setting boys 4×800 relay team.


Girls Track: The Girls Indoor Track Team placed 20th in the  MIAA Division 3 Championships. Congrats on a great season.


Wrestling:  The Dragons wrestling team placed 8th in Division 2 South Sectionals and had one wrestler in the All State Tournament. Congrats on a great season.
