Farfar’s Peanut Butter Ice Cream Review
By Matt P.
When people think of summer they think of ice cream. People in Duxbury think of Farfar’s Ice cream. One of my favorite flavors at Farfar’s is peanut butter.
The creaminess of the ice cream is synonymous with Farfar’s. The peanut butter ice cream is like licking a frozen hunk of peanut butter. While tasing the peanut butter flavor there is just a hint of vanilla. The creaminess of the peanut butter and the hint of the vanilla makes the taste buds cry tears of joy and each taste makes you want more. Unlike some ice cream shops Farfars doesn’t not worry about having too much peanut butter and that makes the ice cream.
The waffle cone in which I got the ice cream in brings out the taste even more. Taking a piece of the waffle cone while eating the ice cream gives a nice crunch combined with the creamy ice cream. Another upside to the waffle cone is when the ice cream is melting it makes the waffle cone a little bit soggy. This makes the waffle cone a bit softer and when you’re done finishing your ice cream you can eat the waffle cone, which has a peanut butter taste from the melting ice cream.
Overall the peanut butter ice cream from Farfar’s was great. I would definitely get it again. The creaminess of Farfar’s Danish ice cream along with the peanut butter flavor makes the ice cream.
